extreme last minute gifting

someday i wont be such a last minute gift maker, but today is not that day...
instead i'm busy finishing up several pairs of these..

COVERED BUTTON EARRINGS!  (one of my favorite last minute gifts this year!)
I snapped these step by step photos if you want to give them a try... just follow the instructions  included with a covered button maker kit (under $4) but remove the button loop with pliers first and glue a earring post to the back when done. I used E-6000 glue for an "Industrial Strength" hold!!

other things I hope to finish: a doll for each of my daughters, an infinity scarf, a few more scrappy garlands, some little gift sacks that can be reused as snack bags and a bit of hand sewing to complete some other top secret projects plus a dress for myself!?...

phew.. better get back to it!!!

happy crafty holidays!

Tiny Elephant

Just under 2 inches.

Originally I set out to make this guy for Aelyn but now I kinda want to keep him for myself.
I'll probably keep him and make her another... itty bitty softies are just so freakn' cute!

DRESSES!

OhMyGoodness... I'm making dresses.. all I've worn for the last 18 months since Av was born (and probably 6months before that) is jeans and very long cut off jean shorts. But I'm really ready to reclaim my pre-mommy style. I used to put some effort into my image. I don't want to get into tons of primping or any thing, but I think I could stand to spice it up a little.
so here goes.. I've been working on some dress designs that feel/look nice but are super no fuss throw on and go.
Heres the first look I've finished
I'm looking forward to warmer weather when I can toss it on over some gray leggings and a pair of cute flats.
